Class Trips:

Experiential Learning is an essential complement to the classroom experience provided at Saint Agatha School. Our Difference for our older students are opportunities to expand Learning, Living and Thriving through off site educational experiences whether it be a for day or four.
GRADE 5 - Stratford Ecological Center
Five days are scheduled throughout the school year for our students to experience and appreciate this non-profit educational organic farm and nature preserve in Delaware County, Ohio. The students learn about indigenous and invasive species on guided hike tours, and visit the sustainable farm and gardens.
GRADE 6 - Camp Mary Orton - Ropes
Team building is the focus of this day trip. Our students learn to depend on each other for guidance and physical support through creative high adventure courses.
GRADE 7 - Camp Oty'okwa
The beautiful Hocking Hills is the backdrop of this Fall camping trip. Our students enjoy three days of learning the wonders of nature by hiking, exploring caves and fishing for frogs and minnows. They experience the topography of Southern Ohio by identifying indigenous plants and its geological nature.
GRADE 8 - Washington D.C.
Our students experience 4 days in our Nation’s capital. They travel by bus and visit landmarks such as Presidential memorials, the Smithsonian Museums, and the World War II Memorial. Highlights include wreath laying in Arlington National Cemetery, celebrating Mass in the National Cathedral and visiting the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
